Fee & Funding Policy

Darcol Institute of Professional Studies (DIPS) is a non-profit training institute committed to delivering accessible, structured, and high-quality learning opportunities. This page outlines our approach to programme fees, community initiatives, certification, and institutional policies to ensure clarity and transparency for all learners and stakeholders.

Professional Training Programmes

DIPS offers a range of professional training programmes delivered at standard or subsidised fees. These fees are designed to support instructional delivery, learning resources, technology platforms, administrative support, and other operational costs associated with programme delivery. Some professional training programmes are reviewed and accredited in line with recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards, while others are offered as DIPS certificate programmes. The certification or accreditation status of each programme is clearly communicated prior to enrolment. Fees charged for professional programmes also help sustain the Institute’s ability to deliver free and subsidised learning opportunities through its Community Outreach initiatives.

Community & Outreach Programmes

As part of its non-profit mission, DIPS delivers selected programmes through its Community & Outreach arm. These programmes are offered free of charge and are supported through grants, partnerships, sponsorships, and donor funding. Community and outreach programmes are designed to expand access to education and skills development, particularly for individuals and groups facing barriers to traditional learning opportunities. Eligibility criteria, cohort limits, or scheduled delivery periods may apply depending on programme funding and availability.

Use of Programme Fees

All programme fees collected by DIPS are reinvested directly into the Institute’s educational mission. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Programme development and quality assurance

  • Instructor compensation and professional support

  • Learning materials and digital platforms

  • Administrative and operational costs

  • Delivery of free and subsidised community outreach initiatives

DIPS does not distribute profits to individuals, members, or shareholders.

Payment Information

Programme fees, payment methods, and applicable instalment options (where available) are clearly outlined at the point of registration. Participants are responsible for ensuring that payments are completed in accordance with programme-specific requirements and timelines.

Refund & Withdrawal Policy

Refunds, where applicable, are subject to programme-specific terms and conditions.

  • Refund requests must be submitted within the stated refund period for the programme.

  • Once a programme has commenced, refunds may not be available.

  • Certain administrative or processing fees may be non-refundable.

Participants who wish to withdraw from a programme should notify DIPS in writing. Withdrawal does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund unless otherwise stated.

Programme Changes & Cancellations

DIPS reserves the right to modify programme schedules, delivery formats, instructors, or learning materials where necessary to ensure quality and effective delivery. Programmes may be rescheduled or cancelled due to low enrolment, funding constraints, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, registered participants will be notified in a timely manner, and appropriate options will be communicated.

Attendance, Participation & Completion

Participants are expected to actively engage in learning activities, discussions, and any required assessments. Successful completion of a programme may depend on attendance, participation, and fulfilment of learning requirements as outlined for each programme. Certificates of completion are issued upon successful fulfilment of programme requirements. Certificates confirm participation and learning completion and do not constitute academic degrees or formal qualifications unless explicitly stated.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Selected programmes offered by DIPS are reviewed and accredited in line with recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards. CPD accreditation confirms the educational value of the learning activity and supports professional growth. While CPD programmes enhance skills and career readiness, outcomes may vary based on individual goals, experience, and application.

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally in all learning environments, including virtual platforms and communications. DIPS reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from a programme, in cases of misconduct, disruption, or violation of behavioural expectations.

Transparency & Accountability

DIPS is committed to transparency and accountability in all programme, financial, and operational activities. Programme fees, funding sources, certification status, and participation requirements are clearly communicated to learners and stakeholders. As a non-profit institute, DIPS maintains responsible financial practices to ensure that all income supports its mission of accessible, structured, and impactful education.

Data Protection & Privacy

DIPS is committed to protecting personal information and handling data responsibly. Personal data is managed in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy standards. For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
